How to Make a Decorative Pillowcase with Pompom Ribbon

You’ll Need:

Fabric for pillowcase;

Ribbon with small pompoms;

Scissors;

Sewing machine;

Threads;

Measuring tape.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pillowcase Pattern

1. Measure the pillow, make a pillowcase pattern, adding 1-3 cm to the parameters of the pillow for a loose fit. Cut out 2 pillowcase parts and 1 valve part half the size of the pillowcase part.

Step 2: Attach the Ribbon

2. Attach the ribbon to the edge of the pillowcase part from the inside, as shown in the photo, and stitch it.

Step 3: Assemble the Pillowcase

3. Process the valve part as shown in the photo. Fold the details: the pillowcase detail with the ribbon sewn (pompons look inward, the front side is up), the pillowcase detail without the ribbon face to the face of the ribbon part, the valve part is face down. Sew around the perimeter. It remains only to turn out the pillowcase!
