Crochet Blanket Instructions and Materials

You’ll Need:

300g of 100% cotton yarn (90m/50g) in pink, light-green, and white color (each);

200g of the same yarn in crimson, purple, gray, yellow-green, and green colors (each);

Crochet hook size 5.

Size:

106 x 136 cm.

Used Patterns

Main motif: make 6 chain stitches, connect them in the ring with a slip stitch, and work according to the scheme.

Replace the 1^st half-crochet of the circle row with 2 chain stitches. Start each row with 1 extra chain stitch.

Finish each row with 1 slip stitch in the initial stitch.

Make the 1^st-3^rd rows once, using different color yarn for each row. Alternate the colors as desired.

Stitches Control

1 motif = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 130 motifs. After making the 2^nd motif, attach it in the 3^rd row with a slip stitch in the places marked with arrows on the scheme. Connect 10 motifs in width and 13 motifs in length.

Fastening

Start making fastening from the green arrow (see the scheme). Attach the light-green yarn with 1 slip stitch and complete the 1^st-2^nd rows of fastening once (green color in the scheme).

Then, repeat the last 2 rows with pink yarn, making 1 single crochet and 1 last row of single crochets with white yarn. Make 1 extra chain stitch at the beginning of each of these rows.

Make 1 single crochet in every single crochet, except for the corners. Make 3 single crochets in the central corner stitch of each corner.

Finish each circle row with 1 slip stitch in the 1^st single crochet.

Make the last row of fastening with white yarn: “shrimp stitch” (= single crochets from left to right).
