Instructions
Back
Cast on 70 stitches with mustard color yarn. Create a rib for 4 cm. Then switch to yellow yarn and work in stockinette stitch. At 17 cm from the bottom, bind off 6 stitches from both sides for the armholes and continue with straight knitting for 12 cm. Bind off the central 22 stitches and finish each part separately. For rounding the neck-hole, bind off 1 stitch once in the next 2nd row. At 15 cm from the bottom of the armholes, bind off all the stitches. Make the second part of the back as a mirror of the first one.
Front
Cast on 70 stitches with mustard color yarn. Create a rib for 4 cm. Continue with the pearled pattern for 5 cm. Change to yellow yarn and then follow the instructions for the back. At 10 cm from the bottom of the armholes, bind off the central 18 stitches and finish each part separately. For rounding the neck-hole, bind off 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch once in every even row along the inner side. Bind off the remaining stitches at the height of the previous detail. Make the second part of the front as a mirror of the first one.
Assembly
Lift the stitches with yellow yarn along the shoulders on the back and create 2 cm of rib. Lift the stitches with mustard yarn along the shoulders on the front and create 2 cm of rib. Make buttonholes on each shoulder closer to the neck-hole: purl 2 together, 1 yarn over.
Make side seams. Fasten the neck-hole and armholes with a "shrimp stitch" using mustard yarn. Sew the "cat" fancy pattern according to the scheme using the "stitch in stitch" seam.
