Sometimes you can come across patterns with fringe (usually shawls, ponchos, etc.), but without any explanation on how to make it. Here are these simple instructions:

Cut several strips of yarn of a certain length, fold them double, then fold them double once again, and fasten them with the help of your crochet hook to the lower part of your work at equal distances from one another, as it's shown in the photo below.
