Knitting and Crocheting: A Family Bonding Experience

My grandmother. She made all my clothes — ALL — till I went to college and found out about blue jeans. She would find out which colors were «in» for the season, then make me oodles of separates out of those colors. There were always sweaters included for the colder months in New Jersey. Then with the yarn scraps, she made chevron afghans. She made at least 12 of them, one for each grandchild. (My brother didn't want his, so I have 2.) They are still just as toasty as ever, even with the mending and patching I've done over the years.
