Crochet Cluster Dishcloth

Materials:

Yarn: 150 total Yards of Cotton Yarn for each, about 100 yds main color and 50 yards contrast color.

For the lighter colored one, I used Lilys Sugar N Cream in Color A – Emerald Energy(this is contrast and Color B – Peaches n Cream Panorama.

For the darker one, I used Color A – Sugar N Cream in Warm Brown and Color B – Peaches N Cream in Gold

Hook: G

Stitches:

  • Ch – Chain
  • St – Stitch
  • Sk – Skip
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • Cluster – *Yo, insert hook in sp, pull up loop, yo, draw thru 2 loops*, repeat *to* 2 more times, yo, draw thru all 4 loops

Instructions for the Simple Cluster Dishcloth:

Importantly, make sure to read the tips above. They are most important to success!

Color A is your contrast color (like the Brown above) – Color B is your other color (like the gold above)

With Color A, ch 38

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook,*ch1, sk ch, sc in next ch*, repeat *to* across = 19 sc & 18 ch 1

Finish off and join color B

Row 2: Ch 3(counts as dc now and throughout), turn, *Cluster in next ch 1 sp, ch 1, sk next sc*, repeat *to* 16 more times, cluster in last ch 1 sp, dc in last st. = 18 clusters, 2 dc & 17 ch 1 sp

Finish off and join color A

Row 3: Ch1, sc in st, *ch 1, sk cluster, sc in next ch 1(this is in between each cluster)*, repeat *to* across, ending with sc in top of dc of previous round. = 19 sc & 18 ch 1 sp

Finish off and join color B

Rows 4-21: repeat rows 2 & 3 changing colors accordingly.

Finish off and weave in ends.
