Create a Stunning DIY Mirror Decor with Plastic Spoons

You'll Need

Gather the following materials to create your DIY mirror:

  • Mirror
  • Chipboard ply-wood
  • Saw
  • Graphite pencil
  • Plastic spoons (200 pcs)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Spray paint

Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to craft your unique mirror:

  1. Draw a circle on the ply-wood with a diameter twice bigger than your mirror.
  2. Saw out your circle.
  3. Cut the handles off the plastic spoons.
  4. Glue the spoon heads firmly to the ply-wood, starting at the outer edge.
    Be sure to leave one spoon's width between each spoon in every row.
  5. Glue a second row of overlapping spoons on top of the first row, staggering the glue application at intervals.
  6. Continue filling the entire ply-wood circle with spoons following this method.
  7. Wait for the glue to dry completely.
  8. Paint the entire circle of spoons with spray paint.
  9. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  10. Finally, glue the ply-wood circle to the mirror.
