• Ch1 at the end of rows does not count as a stitch.
• Cowl measures approximately 26 inches around; to adjust length, add or subtract chains in increments of 10 chains.

RND 2: With C2, Ch 116, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in the next 4 chs, Weave the Ch through all the 5ch spaces of RND 1, *ch5, skip the next 5 chs, 1 hdc in the next 5*, Repeat from * to * 9 more times, 1 hdc in the last 5 chs. (10 ch 5 spaces, 11 5hdc groups)

Trim Instructions

With C1, working across the first end of the cowl, evenly space 36 hdc, placing 4 hdc in the end of each row. Turn to the side, working down the side, *1 hdc in each of the 5hdc, 5 hdc in the 5hdc space, Repeat down the side of the Cowl. Turn to the side. Working across the other end of the cowl, evenly space 36 hdc, placing 4 hdc in the end of each row. Turn to the side, working down the last side, *1 hdc in each of the 5hdc, 5 hdc in the 5hdc space, Repeat down the side of the Cowl. Turn to the side, do not tie off. Place the 2 ends together and sew closed with sl st across, tie off. Weave in all your ends.
