Special Stitch – Herringbone Double Crochet
Yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yo, and pull back through the stitch and the next loop on the hook. Yo, pull through 1 loop on the hook, yo, pull through the remaining two loops on the hook.
General Instructions
You can make a larger or smaller wrap or a blanket by using an even number for the chain.
The turning chain counts as a stitch through the pattern.
When switching back to a full roll of herringbone double crochet, make sure to put one stitch in each of the stitches, including the turning chain, which counts as one stitch and 1 chain.

Row 1
Hbdc in the 3rd chain from the hook. Hbdc to the end of the row. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 2
Hbdc in the 2nd st and to the end of the row. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 3
Hbdc in the 2nd st and to the end of the row. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 4
Hbdc in the 2nd st and to the end of the row. Chain 3 and turn.
Row 5
Hbdc in the 3rd st. *Chain 1, skip 1 stitch and hbdc in the next st*. Repeat ** until the end of the row, ending with a hbdc in the turning chain from the row below. Chain 3 and turn.
Row 6
Hbdc in the 3rd st. *Chain 1, skip 1 stitch and hbdc in the next st*. Repeat ** until the end of the row, ending with a hbdc in the turning chain from the row below. Chain 2 and turn.
Row 7-10

Finishing Touches
Cut and knot ends. Weave ends in with tapestry needle. Make 6 tassels approximately 3.5 in long. Attach one on each corner of the wrap and 1 to the middle on each side.
