Materials Needed

You will need:

• Cotton DK weight yarn in white and red
• 3.5mm crochet hook
• Wool needle
• Pipe cleaner

Stitches and Abbreviations

• Sl st – slip stitch
• dc – double crochet

Instructions

Starting in white yarn and making a magic ring:

• Work 6 dc into the ring. (Six sts)
• Rnd 1: (dc in the first st, 2 dc in the next st) repeat to end. (9 sts)
• Change to red yarn at the end of this round and start strip pattern: 2 rnds red, 2 rnds white, keeping colour changes to the back of your work.
• Rnd 2-36: dc in each to end.
