Size Information

Size (approximate): 15″ tall

Pattern Notes

  • The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
  • If you have trouble identifying the first or last stitch of the row, use stitch markers to help you keep track.
  • You can use your choice of yarn and hook size. Just keep in mind that this will change the final size of your plushie.

Abbreviations (US)

ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet

Make the Frosting Panel (Pink Yarn)

To begin, Ch 27

Row 1: Sc into 2nd chain from the hook and into each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. (26 sts)

Rows 2-40: Sc into each stitch. Ch 1 and turn. (26 sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Go ahead and add the eyes, mouth, blush, and sprinkles to the frosting panel. You can add your sprinkles once the project is complete if you’d prefer, but I prefer to add them now.

Place the eyes between rows 29 and 30. My eyes are 7 stitches apart.

Make the Crust Panel (Brown Yarn)

To begin, Ch 27

Row 1: Sc into 2nd chain from the hook and into each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. (26 sts)

Rows 2-40: Sc into each stitch. Ch 1 and turn. (26 sts)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attach the Filling and Crust

Place the frosting panel on top of the crust with the right sides facing outwards.

Now, we’re going to sc the panels together using the brown yarn.

Round 1: Attach your yarn to the top left corner of both panels and place 2 sc sts into the corner.

Continue to sc the panels together, placing 1 sc in each stitch. Whenever you reach a corner, place 2 sts in the corner. This helps round out the corners.

*I know that it can be difficult to see your stitches when crocheting the sides together. Just do your best here. The stitch count is not important.

Before you sc the final row closed, stuff your toaster pastry. Be sure you don’t overstuff so that it keeps its shape. Don’t fasten off just yet. Continue on to round 2.

Round 2: Sc in each stitch around. Sl stitch to the first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
