Materials

Worsted Weight Yarn Colors:

  • 0.35 oz Peaches & Creme Tea Rose Cotton Yarn #01042
  • 0.05 oz Peaches & Creme Sage Green Cotton Yarn #01084

Additional Materials:

  • F/5 (3.75 MM) crochet hook
  • Yarn or tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers
  • Polyester Fiberfill

Special Stitches

  • Back Loop Only: Insert the hook through the back loop of the stitch only (the loop closest to the inside of the round). Then complete the stitch as usual.
  • Half Double Crochet: Yarn over, insert the hook through the indicated stitch or space, yarn over and pull through. With three loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through all three loops at once to complete the stitch.

Center

Use Tea Rose yarn.

  • Rnd 2: [Inc, Sc 2] repeat 2 times around (8 sts).
  • Rnd 3: Sc 8 (8 sts).
  • Rnd 4: [Dec, Sc 2] repeat 2 times (6 sts).
  • Rnd 5: Work this round in the BLO. 3 Sc in the first 2 sts. In the third st, (Sc 2, Hdc). Leave the rest of the round unworked.

Finish off with a slip stitch and weave in ends. Wrap the overhanging stitches diagonally downward across the body of the piece and sew in place to finish.

Petals

Use Tea Rose yarn. Make 4. (Feel free to add more if you want a fuller rose).

  • Rnd 1: Sc 6 in magic ring OR Ch 2, Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
  • Rnd 2: [Inc, Sc] repeat 3 times around (9 sts).
  • Rnd 3: [Inc, Sc 2] repeat 3 times (12 sts).
  • Rnd 4: BLO (Sc 3) repeat 6 times. Leave the rest of the round unworked.

Finish off with a slip stitch and weave in ends.

Leaves

Use Sage Green yarn.

  • Rnd 1: Sc 6 in magic ring OR Ch 2, Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
  • Rnd 2: Inc 6 (12 sts).
  • Rnd 3: [(In one st: Sc, Ch 3, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in the ch-sts, Sc again to anchor) Sl St in the next unworked st] repeat 6 times around.

Finish off with a slip stitch and weave in ends.

Finishing Touches

Sew the Petals around the center, overlapping them slightly. Then sew the Leaves to the bottom to hold it all together. All done!
