Instructions

First Daisy

RND 1: With yellow, ch 2, work 12 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with slst to first sc. Fasten off yellow.

RND 2: Join white and * ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook, twice. Sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Fasten off. (12 petals)

Second Daisy

The rest of the daisies are worked the same way as the first one, but on the 2nd rnd, you will join the daisy to the previous one made at the tips of each petal. Work in the following manner:

RND 2: Join white, (ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook. Sc in tip of petal on previous daisy, ch 3, slst in 3rd ch from hook and sc in next sc.) Repeat () one more time. Continue as in rnd two of the first daisy around.

Third to Fifth Daisies

Join the third through fifth daisies the same way, leaving 4 petals free on either side and joining on two petals to create a straight "string" of daisies. See picture for clarification. Do this until you have a total of 5 daisies joined. At this point, weave in all the ends.

Outer Area

To see where to start the outer edge, lay the string of daisies down in front of you horizontally. You will join green thread in the first free petal on the furthest daisy to the left.

RND 1: (Ch 3, sc in next petal. Repeat 9 times) around the first daisy. [Ch 6, *sc in next free petal on next daisy. Ch 3, sc in next petal 3 times.] Repeat [], then repeat from beginning to where you started from. Join with slst to first ch of ch 3.

RND 2: Slst to center of first ch 3, sc in the same space. Ch 4, *sc in next ch 3 space. Ch 4. Repeat from * around. Join with slst to first sc.

RND 3: Slst to center of first ch 4 space, sc in the same space. Ch 4. *Sc in next ch 4 space. Ch 4. Repeat from * around. Join with slst to first sc.

RND 4: Slst in the first ch 4 space. Work the following in the same space and in each ch 4 space around. (2 sc, ch 3, slst in 3rd ch from hook, 2 sc.) Join with slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into work.

Starch lightly with spray starch and an iron to keep its shape.
