Materials

DK weight 3 yarn in shades:

• 650 metres white
• 100 metres red
• 90 metres orange
• 280 metres yellow
• 80 metres green
• 70 metres blue
• 60 metres purple
• Small amounts of black/pink for the sunshine eyes and cheek
• 4mm crochet hook (You can use any yarn and hook, but size may change.)

Each square measures approx 7.5” x 7.5” inches and the finished blanket measures approx 26” x 33”. This could be made larger if you make more squares.

The pattern texture for the squares is worked in lemon peel stitch and is turned each row/round. It could also work out just using a hdc and working in rounds without turning if you prefer. Instructions to make the squares in a hdc stitch are included to accommodate both methods.
