Materials Needed
Materials needed to produce the product pictured above: (Note: You can use any size hook or yarn to get a different size or color desired.)
- Hook - B-2mm
- Main color (MC) – small amount fingering weight cotton yarn – Yellow
- Contrasting color (CC) – small amount fingering weight cotton yarn – Black
- Small amount of fingering weight cotton yarn in White for flower
- Small amount of fiberfill
- Yarn needle or tapestry needle

Bee Body Instructions
RND 1: With MC, start with a MR, crochet 6 SC in MR (6)
RND 2: INC (2 SC) in each stitch around (12)
RND 3: (INC, SC 1) around (18)
RND 4-5: SC in each stitch around for 2 rows (18)
RND 6-7: Change to CC, SC in each stitch around for 2 rows (18)
RND 8-10: Switch back to MC, 1 SC in each stitch around for 3 rows (18)
RND 11: Switch to CC, (1 SC, 1 DEC) around (12) - add stuffing
RND 12: 1 SC in each stitch around (12)
RND 13: DEC x 6 (6)
Finish off, leave a long tail for sewing. With a yarn needle, sew a gathering stitch to close. Finish off and weave the end through the body to the front end of the bee (where the face will be). Sew 2 stitches for eyes and a mouth if desired with the same yarn. Weave back through the body, out of any stitch, and cut yarn close to the body.
Wings (Make 2)
With white - MR, 6 SC inside MR, pull tight, finish off and leave a long end for sewing to the body. Attach wings to the back of the body with a yarn needle. Pass ends through the body to an opposite stitch in the body, knot off and pull knot back through the same hole through the body to secure, hiding the knot. Cut yarn close to the body.
Stinger – Optional
With a small amount of CC – Ch 2. Finish off but leave a long tail for sewing to the body, cut the other end short. Place at the rear of the bee and weave end through the body a couple of times to secure.
Flower Center Instructions
- RND 1: With MC, 5 SC inside MR
- RND 2: INC in each stitch around (10)
- RND 3: SC in each stitch around (10)
- Finish off
Petals
Attach white yarn and CH 10, DC in the third CH from the hook and in the next 6 CH, HDC in the last CH, (7 DC, 1 HDC). SS in the next SC of the center, repeat around. Finish off and weave in ends.
Make a chain as long as desired. (I chained 75) Leave a long tail on both ends for attaching to the flower and bee. Using a yarn needle, sew to the flower and weave in the tail end. Sew to the bee in the middle of the body between the wings. Weave end through the bee a couple of times and cut yarn close to the body.
