How to Knit a Panda Bear Hat with Mercerized Cotton

You'll Need:
50g of 100% mercerized cotton (135m/50g) in light blue, white, and blue colors;
Straight knitting needles size 3.
Head Circumference:
47cm.
Used Patterns
2 x 2 rib;
Stockinette stitch: knit all stitches on right-side rows, and purl all stitches on wrong-side rows.
Stitches Control:
23 stitches = 10 cm (stockinette stitch).
Instructions
Cast on 58 stitches and knit with rib stitch, starting with 2 purls. Increase 2 stitches 4 times and 4 stitches 6 times at the end of each row, resulting in 90 stitches.
All increased stitches are included in the ornament. Increase 18 stitches at the end of the next row (totaling 108 stitches) and knit for 2 cm in the round. Then, knit 5 cm using stockinette stitch, followed by 2 cm in ribbing. Bind off the stitches according to the ornament.
Knit the eyes and nose for your panda bear according to the scheme with a "stitch in stitch" seam.
Make 2 pompoms from the light-blue yarn, each with a diameter of 5-6 cm, and sew them onto the sides to resemble panda bear ears.
