Cross 3 Right (C3R) - skip 2 sc, work 1 tr into next sc, working behind last tr work 1 dc into each of the 2 skipped sc.

Cross 3 Left (C3L) - skip 1 sc, work 1 dc into each of the next 2 sc, working in front of the last 2 dc work 1 tr into the skipped sc.

Instructions

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 8 + 2.

Row Instructions

1st Row (WS): Work 1 sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc into each ch to end, turn;

2nd Row: 3 ch (count as 1 dc), skip 1st sc, *Cr3R, 1 dc into the next sc, Cr3L, 1 dc into the next sc; repeat from * to end, turn;

3rd Row: 1 ch, work 1 sc into each st to end placing the last sc into the 3rd of the 3 ch at the beginning of the previous row, turn.

Repeat 2nd-3rd rows.
