How to Crochet a Puff Stitch Pattern

The quantity of stitches is multiple 6 + 4.

1st Row (RS): 1 single crochet (sc) into 2nd chain from hook, 1 sc into each chain to end, turn;

2nd Row: 3 chains (ch) (counts as 1 double crochet (dc)), skip 1st sc, 1 dc into each sc to end, turn;

3rd Row: 1 chain, 1 sc into each of the first 2 dc, *3 ch, skip 2 dc, 1 puff stitch into next dc, 3 ch, skip 2 dc, 1 sc into next dc; repeat from * to last dc, 1 sc into 3rd of 3 ch at beginning of previous row, turn;

4th Row: 5 ch (counts as 1 dc, 2 ch), work 3 sc into closing ch of next puff stitch, *3 ch, 3 sc into closing ch of next puff stitch; repeat from * to last 2 sc, 2 ch, 1 dc into last sc, turn;

5th Row: 1 ch, 1 sc into 1st dc, 2 sc into 1st 2 ch space, *1 sc into each of the next 3 sc, 3 sc into next 3 ch space; repeat from * to end, working last sc into 3rd of 5 ch at beginning of previous row, turn.

Repeat the 2nd-5th rows.
