The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 3.

Sts should not be counted after the 1st and 5th row.

1st row (WS): k1, *yo, k1; rep from * to end;

2nd row: knit, dropping yo’s off previous row;

3rd row: k1, k3tog, [yfon] twice, k1, [yfon] twice, sl 2 sts, k3tog, pass both sl sts over; rep from * to last 5 sts, [yfon] twice, k1, [yfon] twice, k3tog, k1;

4th row: k2, *k into front of 1st loop and back of 2nd loop of double yfon of previous row, k1; rep from * to end of the row;

5th row: k1, *yo, k1; rep from * to end;

6th row: k, dropping yo’s off previous row;

7th row: k2, *[yfon] twice, sl 2, k3tog, pass both st sts over, [yfon] twice, k1; rep from * to last st, k1;

8th row: k3, *k into front of 1st loop and back of 2nd loop of double yfon of previous row, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.

Repeat 1st-8th rows.
