Complete Guide to Crocheting Cozy Slippers with Detailed Instructions

You’ll Need:

200g of 100% acryl yarn;

Crochet hook 8.

Foot length: 22-24-27 cm.

Instructions

Make 22-26-26 chain stitches increase. Make 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the crochet hook, then 1 single crochet in every chain stitch to the end of the row = 21-25-25 single crochets. Continue work with “front-back” rows, making 1 single crochet in every single crochet (make 1 chain stitch in the beginning of every row before 1 single crochet in every single crochet).

Continue work at 7-7-8 cm height in the following way:

Row Instructions

1st Row: 2 single crochets in the 1st single crochet in every of the next 8-10-10 single crochets, 2 single crochets in every single crochet, 1 chain stitch, skip the next single crochet, 2 single crochets and 1 single crochet in the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in every of the next 8-10-10 single crochets and 2 single crochets in the last single crochet, turn;

2nd Row: 1 single crochet in every of the first 12-14-14 single crochets, 7 double crochets around chain stitch and 1 single crochet in every of the last 12-14-14 single crochets = 31-35-35 stitches, turn;

3rd Row: 2 single crochets in the 1st stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the next 13-15-15 stitches, 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 chain stitch, skip the next stitch, 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the last 13-15-15 stitches and 2 single crochets in the last stitch, turn;

4th Row: 1 single crochet in every of the first 17-19-19 single crochets, 7 double crochets around chain stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the last 17-19-19 single crochets = 41-45-45 stitches, turn;

5th Row: 2 single crochets in the 1st stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the next 18-20-20 stitches, 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 chain stitch, skip the next stitch, 2 single crochets in the next stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the next 18-20-20 stitches and 2 single crochets in the last stitch, turn;

6th Row: 1 single crochet in every of the first 22-24-24 single crochets, 7 double crochets around chain, 1 single crochet in every of the last 22-24-24 single crochets = 51-55-55 stitches, turn.

For smaller sizes, stop here.

7th Row: 1 single crochet in every of the first 27 stitches, 1 chain stitch, skip the next stitch and make 1 single crochet in every of the next 27 stitches, turn;

8th Row: 1 single crochet in every of the first 27 single crochets, 7 double crochets around chain stitch, 1 single crochet in every of the last 27 single crochets = 61 stitches, turn.

For all sizes: after the last increases, there are 51-55-61 stitches in a row. Continue work with “front-back” rows, 1 single crochet in every stitch until the height is 17-18-19 cm. Make the first 2 single crochets together and the last 2 single crochets in a row together = 49-53-59 single crochets. Cut and fasten the yarn. Make the second slipper in the same way.

Assembly

Start from the foot from the toe side. Sew stitches from each side along the lower edge of slippers. Cut and fasten the yarn.

I think I'm doing something wrong,; there doesn't seem to be a bottom to the slipper and I don't understand how to do the beginning of the pattern before row 1.
