You’ll Need:

100g of light-blue 100% cotton yarn;

Crochet hook 3.5 (or the size up to your yarn).

Size:

9-12 months.

Instructions

Hood

1st row: With the blue wool chain stitch till you have the right length for the size of face;

2nd row: Turn and dc (double crochet) in the 4th chain from hook then dc in each loop until the end, chain 3 then turn;

Repeat the 2nd row until the depth of the child's head.

Fold in half and ss (slip stitch) / sc (single crochet) together along the last row you did. The ss/sc will be the back of your hood. Turn your hood inside out.

Cape

1st row: Sc along the bottom of the hood. Please note that you need to have 2 sc in each dc on the hood;

2nd row: 3dc in each sc till end of row, chain 3 and turn;

3rd row: dc in each dc, at the end of the row chain 3, turn and repeat row 3 until you have the length of the cloak.

Assembly

To finish off the cape with hood, add two lines of pattern to the bottom which you do not need to do. Also fasten a white edge to the whole cape/poncho with a hdc (half double crochet).
