Special Stitches
In knitting, special stitches add unique textures and designs to your projects. Below are two essential techniques:
Cable 3 Back (C3B)
Slip 3 knit stitches to the extra needle and hold in back of work, p1, k1, p1 from the left-hand needle, p1, k1, p1 from the extra needle.
Cable 3 Front (C3F)
Slip 3 knit stitches to the extra needle and hold in front of work, p1, k1, p1 from the left-hand needle, p1, k1, p1 from the extra needle.
Knitting Instructions
The quantity of stitches is multiple of 6 + 2 selvage stitches.
Start and finish every row with a selvage stitch.

8th row: * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 2 knit stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch *; repeat from * to *;
9th row (RS): * 1 purl, 1 knit stitch, 2 purls, 1 knit stitch, 1 purl *; repeat from * to *;
10th row: as the 8th row;
11th row (RS): as the 9th row;
12th row: as the 8th row;
13th row (RS): as the 9th row;
14th row: as the 8th row;
15th row (RS): 1 purl, 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, * C3F *; repeat from * to *, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch, 1 purl;
16th row: * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 2 knit stitches, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch *; repeat from * to *.
Repeat rows 1st to 16th to continue your pattern.
