Step-by-Step Guide to Crochet Rows with Double Crochet and Single Crochet Techniques

Crochet Row Instructions

1st Row: Skip 3 stitches and insert into the 4th stitch, making a double crochet in each stitch.

2nd Row: Chain 1 and turn. Make a single crochet into the 1st stitch and a single crochet into every stitch.

3rd Row: Chain 1 and turn. Make a double crochet in the 1st stitch; make a front post double crochet in the double crochet of the 1st row, then make a double crochet into the next stitch (row 3) and finish by making a double crochet in the last stitch.

4th Row: Chain 1 and turn. Make a single crochet in the 1st stitch and a single crochet into every stitch.

5th Row: Chain 1 and turn. Make a double crochet into the first 2 stitches; make a front post double crochet on the double crochet of the previous row (row 3) and then a double crochet into the next stitch (row 5), finishing with one double crochet into the last 2 stitches.

6th Row: Chain 1 and turn. Make a single crochet in the 1st stitch and a single crochet into every stitch.

Repeat the 3rd to 6th rows as needed.

The quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2.

It would help if you explained stitch abbreviations.  Patterns are beautiful!

sc — sinlge crochet

ch — chain st

dc- double crochet

fpdc — front post double crochet

bpdc — back post double crochet

Sorry, I thought they were quite understandable
