Introduction to Yarn Overs

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 10 + 1. Make double yarn overs in wrong side (WS) rows in the following way: the 1^st yarn over – as a knit stitch, and the 2^nd yarn over – as a purl stitch.

2 knit stitches, knit two together (ktog) to the left, 2 yarn overs, 1 purl, * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 2 yarn overs, knit two together to the right, 3 knit stitches, knit two together to the left, 2 yarn overs, 1 purl *; repeat from * to *, 1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 2 yarn overs, knit two together to the right, 2 knit stitches;

2^nd and All Even Rows

Follow the established pattern as dictated.

3^rd Row

1 knit stitch, knit two together to the left, 2 yarn overs, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch, * 2 knit stitches, 1 purl, 2 yarn overs, knit two together to the right, 1 knit stitch, knit two together to the left, 2 yarn overs, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch *; repeat from * to *, 2 knit stitches, 1 purl, 2 yarn overs, knit two together to the right, 1 knit stitch;
