Basic Knitting Techniques
1 x 1 rib, knitting needles 3;
Garter stitch: all knit sts;
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;
Make all the rest patterns with knitting needles 4.
Relief Pattern with Cables
Relief pattern with cables (20 sts wide): due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Repeat 1st-24th rows.
Striped Pattern
Striped pattern: * 4 rows of stockinette stitch with grey yarn, 2 rows of garter stitch with blue-green yarn, 4 rows of stockinette stitch with green yarn, 2 rows of garter stitch with white yarn, 4 rows of stockinette stitch with turquoise yarn, 2 rows of garter stitch with blue-green yarn*; repeat from * to *. Note: work in 2 threads of turquoise yarn.
Lace Pattern
Lace (8 sts wide): due to the scheme. Start every circle row with the stated quantity of chain sts instead of the 1st st and finish with 1 slip st. Repeat 1st-5th circle rows x once.
Stitches Control
Relief Pattern with Cables: 27 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Striped Pattern: 20 sts x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back/Front
Cast on 113 (153) sts with grey yarn and work with relief pattern with cables between selvage sts. In 50 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 1 st for raglan chamfers, 6 (5) x 1 st in every 2nd row, then, 8 (10) x 2 sts ans 8 (10) x 1 st by turn. In 15 (17) cm from the beginning of raglan, bind off the rest sts straight.
Sleeves
Cast on 46 (54) sts with grey yarn and make 2 cm of rib. Then, work with striped pattern between selvage sts. Increase 10 x 1 st in every 14th row from both sides for chamfers. In 45 cm from rib, bind off 1 x 1 st for raglan chamfer from both sides, 3 (2) x 1 st in every 4th row, 18 (23) x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 15 (17) cm from the beginning of raglan, bind off the rest sts straight.
Assembly
Make raglan, side, and sleeve seams. Fasten the neck-hole line with lace with grey yarn. For this, make 144 (160) half crochets in the 1st row = 18 (20) pattern repeats. Fasten the edges of the pullover with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row of “shrimp stitch”.
