Learn the Simplest Crochet Stitch Pattern for Beginners with Single Crochets

This is the simplest crochet stitch pattern. It consists of ordinary single crochets.

Make the needed quantity of chain stitches and make the 1st single crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the crochet hook (= 1 chain stitch increase).

Instructions

1st Row

1st row: 1 chain stitch increase, * 1 single crochet through one lobe of stitch *; repeat from * to *;

2nd Row

2nd row: 1 chain stitch increase, * 1 single crochet through both lobes of stitch *; repeat from * to *.

Repeat Pattern

Repeat the 2nd row all the time.
