To create your heart applique, gather the following materials:

Instructions

Follow these steps to create your heart applique:

1. Cut the heart out of cotton fabric and iron the future applique with the glue web.
2. You can sew the applique manually, or use a sewing machine with a buttonhole or frequent zigzag stitch.
3. Start stitching from the top center point of the heart. This will help you hide any less-than-perfect initial stitches underneath the bow.
4. If sewing manually, use embroidery floss in two strands for a more textured look.
5. The completed applique can be decorated with a bow, buttons, or embroidery for additional flair.
