Knitting Patterns with 30 Stitch Multiples and 12-Row Repeats


Introduction
The quantity of stitches is multiplied by 30 stitches and follows a 12-row repeat.
Cast On Instructions
For the sample, cast on 42 stitches (30 stitches for the ornament, 10 stitches for the background from both sides, and 2 selvedge stitches). Slip the 1st selvedge stitch as a knit stitch and make the last selvedge stitch a purl. In the further description, selvedge stitches are not included.
Row Instructions
Initial Rows
1st row: knit;
2nd and all the wrong-side rows: purl;
3rd row: 5 knit stitches, transfer 5 stitches to the auxiliary needle in front of work, 5 knit stitches, 5 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle, 10 knit stitches, transfer 5 stitches to the auxiliary needle behind work, 5 knit stitches, 5 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle, 5 knit stitches;
Subsequent Rows
5th and 7th rows: knit;
9th row: 10 knit stitches, transfer 5 stitches to the auxiliary behind work, 5 knit stitches, 5 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle, transfer 5 stitches to the auxiliary needle in front of work, 5 knit stitches, 5 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle;
11th row: knit.
Repeating the Pattern
Repeat from the 1st to the 12th rows.
