Materials
- Clover Amour Crochet Hook (5.5 mm)
- Clover Jumbo Tapestry Needle (Bent Point)
- Clover Jumbo Locking Stitch Markers
- Worsted weight yarn (I used Yarn Bee Comfy Classic Ocean Water for the body and a cotton pink for the details)
- 15 cups beans or rice (dry) to make the bottom of the cat heavy
- Polyfil

Measurements: finished item measures 5.5” across, and 5.5” high (includes height of the ears)
Instructions
Cat Body
With teal, Ch 41.
Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (40 sc)
Row 2-24: 1 sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (40 sc)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
Fold the piece in half and whip stitch the sides together but leave the opening at the top for now.
Cat Ears (Make 2)
With teal, start with a magic circle.
Round 1: 3 sc in the magic circle. Place stitch marker into the 3rd sc you made.
Do not join, just work continuously in rounds.
Round 2: 2 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next st. Move stitch marker to the st you just made.
Round 3: 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st. Move st marker to the st you just made.
Round 4: 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st, 1 sc in the next st.
Round 5 and 6: 1 sc in each st around.
Heart Eyes (Make 2)
With pink, start with a magic circle.
Ch 1, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc ALL in magic circle. Pull to tighten. Join with a sl st in the magic ring. Finish off.
Sew eyes onto the cat body in the desired position.
With yarn needle and pink thread, sew simple lines for the whiskers, mouth, and nose. Add triangles to the ears.
Finishing
Pour in your rice or beans until it is over halfway full. Sew up the top but before closing it all the way, fill the rest of the cat body with polyfil.
Finish sewing it up. Decide where you would like to attach the ears, then with teal yarn and your yarn needle, sew the ears in place.
