Guidelines

At the end of each round just carry on, do not join with a slip stitch. Mark the start of each round and then move the marker as a round is completed.

Row 1) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hk, 1 sc3tog – insert your hook into the sc you have just created, yarn over, pull through, insert your hook into the next ch, yarn over, pull through, insert your hook into the next ch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over pull through all the loops on the hook. Ch 1. All the other sc3tog – (insert your hook into the last ch used in the previous sc3tog, yarn over, pull through, insert hook into next ch, yarn over, pull through, insert hook into next ch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through all the loops on the hook, Ch 1) – repeat across. When you have finished using all the ch’s, insert 1 sc in the last st.

Row 2) Ch 1, 1 sc in st, 1 sc3tog – (insert hook into sc, yarn over hook, pull through, insert hook into next st, yarn over, pull through, insert hook into next st, yarn over, pull through) ch 1, *sc3tog (insert your hook into the last st used in the previous sc3tog, yarn over, pull through, insert hook into next st, yarn over, pull through, insert hook into next st, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through all the loops on the hook) ch 1* repeat across, 1 sc in last st.

Round 1) Ch 2 when you have finished the above, dc around putting 3 dc in each corner (approximately 156 dc), ss to join to 1st dc.
