Pattern Instructions

Starting the Hat Band

RND 1: Ch 10, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in each ch across, turn, ch 1 (9 hdc)

RND 2: BLO, 1 hdc in each hdc, turn, ch 1 (9 hdc)

RND 3: Repeat RND 2

RND 4: RND 48 – Repeat RND 2; join ends together, slst them to form a circle for the hat band, ch 3 (48 Rows)

Building the Hat

RND 49: Evenly dc 67 dc around the top of the hat band, join, ch 3 (68 dc)

Continuing the Hat

RND 57: Dctog the 1st 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 6 dc,

RND 59: Dctog the 1st 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc,

*sk the next dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc, cross in front and dc in the sk st*
Repeat from * to * 5 more times,
Dc in the next 4 dc,
Dctog the next 2 dc, and dctog the next 2 dc, (2 decrease sts)
Dc in the next 4 dc,
Repeat from * to * 6 more times,
