Notes
- Ch3 Counts as a dc
- Rounds are joined with a slst to the ch3
Pattern
RND 1: Ch 26, 2 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in the next 22 chs, 2 chs in the next st, turn working down the opposite side of the ch.
2 dc in the 1st ch, 1 dc in the next 22 chs, 2 dc in the last st, join to the ch3, ch3 (26 + 26 = 52 dc). Stitch count remains the same for each row of the bag (52sts).
RND 2: (Ch3 counts as a dc) 1dc in the next dc, * 1 fpdc in the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc* repeat from * to * around, join, ch 3 (52sts).
RND 3 – RND 4 – Repeat RND 2
RND 5: (Ch3 counts as a fdc) 1fdc in the next dc, * 1 dc in the next 2 dc, 1 fpdc in the next 2 dc* repeat from * to * around, join, ch 3 (52sts).
RND 6 – RND 7 – Repeat RND 5
RND 8- RND 10 – Repeat RND 2
RND 11 – RND 13 – Repeat RND 5

RND 14 – 1 sc in each st round, join, ch 1 (52 sc)
RND 15 – RND 17 – Repeat RND 14, tie off weave in your ends after RND 17
Button Tab
Join yarn to the top back center of the bag, ch 12, slst in the 8th ch, slst in the last 6 chains, tie off and weave in the ends. Center the button on the front of the bag and sew in place.
D Rings
Thread a needle with a 12 inch piece of matching yarn. Sew D Ring in place at the top edge of the purse, with the flat side down. Repeat on the other side.
Handles
With 3 strands of yarn together, ch 80, tie off ends leaving 12 inch tails of yarn and set aside. Slide the handle through the D Rings and tie together.
Add a tassel if you like.
