Materials Needed

Yarn in two contrasting colors
Crochet hook (size suitable for yarn weight)

Sole

Round 1: Make a magic ring. Into the ring, crochet 2 SC, 2 HDC — repeat twice (8 stitches).
Round 2: 2 INC, 1 HDC, 1 DC — repeat twice (16 stitches).
Round 3: 4 SC, (HDC, DC), DC2 x 2, (HDC, DC) — repeat sequence twice (24 stitches).
Round 4: 4 SC, (HDC, DC), (DC2, DC) x2, 4 SC, (HDC, HDC2) x4 (34 stitches).

Round 5: 4 SC, (HDC, DC), (DC, DC2) x2, 6 SC, (HDC, HDC2) x6, 2 SC (52 stitches).
Round 6: 4 SC, 5 HDC, (DC2, DC) x7, 5 HDC (64 stitches).

Crochet Baby Shoes

Round 7: 16 HDC, (DC2, 2DC) x3, 2 DC, (HDC2, 6HDC) x2, 2 SC (70 stitches).

Weave in yarn end and place stitch marker on the first stitch.
Mark stitches 12 through 35 (24 stitches total) for toe cap.

Toe Cap
Row 1: Chain 13, skip 1, SC across (12 stitches).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. (INC, 3 SC) x3 (15 stitches).
Row 3: Ch 1, turn. (INC, 4 SC) x3 (18 stitches).
Row 4: Ch 1, turn. INC, 16 SC, INC (20 stitches).

Row 5: Ch 1, turn. INC, 18 SC, INC (22 stitches).
Row 6: Ch 1, turn. INC, 20 SC, INC (24 stitches).
Row 7: Ch 1, turn. INC, 22 SC, INC (26 stitches).

Row 10: Ch 1, turn. INC, 28 SC, INC (32 stitches).

Rows 11–12: Ch 1, turn. 32 SC.

Mark 15th and 18th back loops of Row 14.
Row 13: Ch 1, turn. 10 SC in back loops, 4 SC (14 stitches).
Row 14: Ch 1, turn. Skip 1, 13 SC (13 stitches).
Row 15: Ch 1, turn. Skip 1, 12 SC (12 stitches).

Rows 16–21: Ch 1, turn. 12 SC.
Row 22: Ch 1, turn. Skip 1, 11 SC (11 stitches).

Rows 24–29: Ch 1, turn. 10 SC.

Leave a long tail for sewing.

Crochet Baby Shoes

Identify the side with 8 front loops (wrong side), flip to correct side.

Sew toe cap ends together from wrong side.
Weave in yarn end.

Shoe Body

Mark the 8th row of the sole on both sides.
With toe cap facing you, work right to left:
