  • CH: Chain - Yarn over and pull through one loop.

  • SS: Slip stitch - Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

  • DC: Double crochet - Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through stitch, yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through two loops.

  • SC: Single crochet - Insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through two loops.

  • HDC: Half double crochet - Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through stitch, yarn over and pull through three loops.

  • Tr: Treble - Yarn over two times, insert hook around the stitch from front to back, yarn over and pull through stitch, yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through two loops, yarn over and pull through two loops.

Notes

In order to complete this pattern, you will have to visit two different sites. The turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. When working in the round, make sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as the join.

Round 1: ch 2, 12 dc into ring, sl st to first st. (12 sts)

Round 2: ch 2, dc in same st, *ch 2, dc in next st; repeat from * to end, last ch 2 sl st to first st. (12 dc / ch 24)

Round 3: ch 1, hdc in same st, *2 hdc in ch-2 sp, hdc in next st; repeat from * to end, last hdc 2 sl st to first st. (36 sts)

Round 4: ch 2, dc in same st, *ch 1, dc in next st; repeat * to end, last ch 1 sl st to first st. (36 dc / ch 36)

Round 5: ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each st and ch-1 sp around, sl st to first st. (72 sts)

Round 6: ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each st around, sl st to first st. (72 sts)

Round 7: ch 2, (2-dc bobble st, ch 5, 2-dc bobble st) in same st, *sk next 2 sts, (2-dc bobble st, ch 5, 2-dc bobble st) in next st; repeat * to end, sl st to first st. (24 (2-dc bobble st, ch 5, 2-dc bobble st))

Round 8: sl st to next ch 3 of first ch 5, *ch 4, dc2tog, ch 4, sl st to the center of next chain 5; repeat * to end, last ch 4 sl st to first ch 5 of the previous row. (24 dc2tog sts)

Round 9: SS into the next 2 chains. Chain 1. Sc. Chain 3. *Sc in the next chain 4 space. Chain 3.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 10: SS into the next chain. Chain 1. Sc. *(2Dc. Chain 1. 2Dc.) In the next chain 3 space. Skip the next Chain 3 space.* Repeat from * to * around. Skip the first Sc. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 11: SS into the next 2 Dc and the next chain. Chain 4 (counts as first Dc and chain 1 space.) Dc in same chain 2 space. Chain 2. *(Dc. Chain 1. Dc) In the next chain 1 space. Chain 2.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (3rd chain on starting chain.)

Round 12: SS into the chain 1 space. Chain 2. *(2Dc. Chain 1. 2Dc.) in each chain 1 space around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 13: SS into the next 2 Dc and the next chain. Chain 2. *(2-Dc cluster. Chain 2. 2-Dc cluster.) In the next chain 1 space. Chain 1.* Repeat from * to * in each chain 1 space around. Join with a SS to the first Dc cluster made.

Round 14 - 15: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 16: Chain 2. * Dc. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * until 1 stitch remains. Dc. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 17 – 18: Chain 1. Sc in each stitch around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 19: SS into the next 2 Sc. Chain 4 (counts as first Dc and chain 1 space.) Dc in same space. Chain 2. Skip the next 4 stitches. *(Dc. Chain 1. Dc) In the next stitch. Skip the next 4 stitches.
