Pattern
RND 1: Ch 41, Turn, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in each ch across, Turn, ch1. (40 hdc)
RND 2: 1 hdc in each hdc across, turn, ch1 (40 hdc)
RND 3 - RND 5: Repeat RND 2
RND 6: Repeat RND 4, then ch 11, turn (40 hdc, 11 chs)
RND 7: 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in the next 9 chs, 1 hdc in the next 30 hdc, turn, ch1. Leave the last 10 hdc unworked. (40 hdc)
RND 8: 1 hdc in each hdc, turn, ch 1 (40 hdc)
RND 9 - RND 11: Repeat RND 8
RND 12: Repeat RND 8, then ch 11, turn (40 hdc, 11 chs). Repeat RND 7 - RND 12 12 more times for 14 "steps". Do not tie off.
Fringe
Turn, *ch 16, sk the next st, join ch to the next st with a slst*, Repeat from * to * across row. Tie off and weave in your ends.
Join yarn to the other end of the scarf with a slst, and Repeat from * to *. Tie off and weave in your end.
