Notes
- Ch1 does not count as a stitch.
- Ch3 counts as a dc.
- Rounds are joined to the ch3 with a slst.
- When changing colors, ch3 after the color change.
- Demo color changes at R:3, R:5, R:9.
Pattern: Bib
RND 1: Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 9 dc, join, ch 3, 10 dc
RND 2: 1 dc in the same stitch as the ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join ch 3 (20 dc)
RND 3: 1 dc in the same stitch as the ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join ch 3 (40 dc)
RND 4: 1 dc in the next dc, *2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc* - repeat from * to * around, leaving the last 8 dc unworked, TURN, ch 3 (42 dc, 8 unworked dc)
RND 5: 1 dc in the next 2 dc, *2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 3 dc* - repeat from * to * around, leaving the last 8 dc unworked, TURN, ch 3 (52 dc)
RND 6: 1 dc in the next 3 dc, *2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc* - repeat from * to * around, leaving the last 8 dc unworked, TURN, (62 dc)
RND 7: *Ch 3, skip the next dc, sc in the next dc* - repeat from * to * around, TURN, ch 3
RND 8: Sc in the 1st ch3 space, sc, pct, sc in the same ch 3 space, *Sc, sc pct, sc in the next ch 3 space* - repeat from * to * around
RND 9: Sc evenly down the 1st inside edge of the bib, sc in the 8 sc across the center portion of the bib, evenly sc up the inside edge of the other side of the bib, join to the 1st sc, ch 1.
When you reach the 1st corner, ch 32, dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, slst in each ch working back down the ch, join to the same sc, (1st bib tie)
Sc in each sc down the inside edge, center, and other edge of the top of the bib. When you reach the 2nd corner repeat what you did for the 1st bib tie. Join, tie off, and weave in your ends.
Ears
Make 2: Ch 4, 9 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, join to the ch 3, leave a 12 inch tail of yarn for sewing the ear in place.
Bear Face: Embroider face on using brown or black yarn and a yarn needle.
The Bow
Cut 2 strands of yarn about 12 inches long, attach to the bib, and tie a bow securely.
