Knitted in a multiple of 18 sts + 1 and 8-row repeat.

Row Instructions

Row 1 - Right Side: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 2 and All Wrong Side Rows: K1, * p2, k4, p2, k1; repeat from * to end.

Row 3: Purl 1, * left cross, right cross, purl 1, knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 5: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 7: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1, left cross, right cross, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 8: Knit 1, * purl 2, knit 4, purl 2, knit 1; repeat from * to end.

Repeat Rows 1-8.

How to Make Crosses

Left Cross

Slip 2 sts to dpn and hold in front; purl 2, yarn over; from dpn knit 2 knit sts together through back loop.

Right Cross

Slip 2 sts to dpn and hold in back; knit 2 knit sts together, yarn over, purl 2 from dpn.
