- Worsted weight acrylic yarn in a cake and frosting color
- Size F (3.75 mm) hook
- Yarn needle
- Polyester fiber fill
- Bugle beads
- Beading thread
- Beading needle
- Small circle of felt or cardboard the size of the bottom of the cupcake
- Clip to keep place
- Scissors
Like the macarons, these use very little yarn. They are great for using up those mini balls in your stash.

Mini Cupcake Instructions
Work in continuous rounds:
- Chain 2 in cake color
- Round 1: work 6 sc in first chain
- Round 2: work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
- Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, repeat from * around - 18 st
- Round 4: sc in each sc around working in back loops only - 18 st
- Round 5: sc in each sc around - 18 st
- Round 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, repeat from * around - 24 st
- Round 7: sc in each sc around - 24 st
- Change color to frosting color
- Round 8: sc in each sc around - 24 st
- From here until end work in back loops only, this gives the frosting a whipped look
- Round 9-10: sc in each sc around - 24 st
- Round 11: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, repeat from * around - 18 st
- Round 12: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 1 st, repeat from * around - 12 st
- Slip in circle of felt or cardboard into the bottom of the cupcake then stuff firmly
- Round 13: sc2tog around - 6 st
- Finish off and weave in ends
Finishing Touches
Using "frosting" color, surface crochet around the row with the color change.
Weave in ends.
Bead sprinkles at random.
