  • 5.5mm hook
  • Worsted weight 4-ply yarn
  • Yarn needle to weave in ends

Head (Tan Yarn)

Magic Loop, Ch 1

12 hdc in loop, sl in top of ch 1

Ch 1, 2 hdc in each stitch, sl st in top of ch 1

Ch 1, *2 hdc in 1st st, 1 hdc in next* (repeat between * until end), sl st in top of ch 1

Ch 1, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 2 hdc

1 hdc in next 3 st’s, turn

Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st

1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 2 hdc

1 hdc in next 3 st’s, turn

hdc decrease in first 2 st’s

1 hdc in next 5 st’s

hdc decrease in last 2 st’s, sl, finish off

Antlers (Brown Yarn)

Ch 15

3 dc in 3rd ch from the hook

3 dc in each of the next 8 st’s

hdc in last 4 st’s, turn

ch 1, hdc in same st, hdc in each of next 3 st’s, sl st, finish off

*Use a piece of brown pipe cleaner to weave in and out of the antler to make them stand up*

(Repeat for 2nd antler)

Eyes (White Yarn)

Magic Loop

Ch 1

5 sc in loop

sl st in top of ch 1

Finish off

- Attach black button onto white circle

(Repeat for second eye)

Nose

Magic Loop

Ch 2

12 dc in loop

sl st in top of ch 2

Finish off

Use a yarn needle to attach antlers to the back of the head, and the eyes and nose to the face.

Lights

Cut a piece of yarn (any color) about 10 in long

Tie a knot 4 times with different colors of yarn approximately 1 in apart

Cut the remaining strands close to the 4th knot

Attach with brown yarn to antlers

Weave in all ends. Use a piece of black yarn to attach to the back for hanging on your Christmas tree!
