Materials Required

  • Small amount of color for flower (a)
  • Small amount of green (b)
  • White (I got about 35 squares from an 8 oz skein)
  • Hook size J

Instructions

Round 1

With color a, ch 4, join with sl st to form ring. Ch 1, sc in ring, (ch 3, sc in ring) until you have 7 ch 3 loops, ch 3, join with sl st in 1st sc. (8 ch 3 loops and 8 sc)

Round 2

Ch 1, sc in joining sp, (5 sc in ch 3 loop, sc in sc) around. (8 petals made) join with sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.

Round 3

On ring, between petals, join b with sl st, ch 1, sc in joining, ch 5, sc between next 2 petals around until last ch 5, then join with sl st in 1st sc.

Round 4

Ch 1, sc in joining, 7 sc in ch 5 space, (sc in next sc, 7 sc in ch 5 loop) around, join with sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.

Round 5

Join white in the same st as joining in Round 4, ch 1, 2 sc in the same sp, sk 7 sc, sc in next sc around, (16 sc) join with sl st in 1st sc.

Round 6

Ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, (corner made), sc in next 3 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc,* repeat from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

Round 7

Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, sc in next 5 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc,* repeat from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

Round 8

Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 2, 2 hdc in same sp, hdc in next 7 sc, *3 hdc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc,* repeat from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

Round 9

Sl st to 2nd hdc in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, sc in next 9 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 9 hdc,* repeat from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

Round 10

Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, working in back loop only, sc in next 11 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc,* repeat from * to * 2x.

Fasten off.
