Small amount of color for flower (a)
Small amount of green (b)
White (I got about 35 sqs from an 8 oz sk)
Hook size J

RND 1: With color a ch 4, join with sl st to form ring. Ch 1, sc in ring, (ch 3, sc in ring) until you have 7 ch 3 lps, ch 3, join with sl st in 1st sc. (8 ch 3 lps and 8 sc)

RND 2: Ch 1, sc in joining sp, (5 sc in ch 3 lp, sc in sc) around. (8 petals made) join with sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off. RND 3: On ring, between petals, join b with sl st, ch 1, sc in joining, Ch 5, sc between next 2 petals around until last ch 5, then join with sl st in 1st sc.

Buttercup Side view (flower stands almost 2" high)

RND 4: Ch 1, sc in joining, 7sc in ch 5 sp, (sc in next sc, 7 sc in ch 5 lp) around, join with sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off.

RND 5: Join white in same st as joining in RND 4, ch 1, 2 sc in same sp, sk 7 sc, sc in next sc around, (16 sc) join with sl st in 1st sc.

RND 6: Ch1, 3 sc in same sp, (corner made), sc in next 3 sc,* 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc,* rep from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

RND 7: Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 1, 3sc in same sp, sc in next 5 sc, *3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc ,*rep from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

RND 8: Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 2, 2 hdc in same sp , hdc in next 7 sc, *3 hdc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, * rep from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st hdc.

RND 9: Sl st to 2nd hdc in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, sc in next 9 sc,* 3 sc next sc, sc next 9 hdc *, rep from * to * 2x, join with sl st in 1st sc.

RND 10: Sl st to 2nd sc in corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp, working in blo, sc in next 11 sc,* 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc*, rep from * to * 2x.

Fasten off.
