I think quilt handmade our machine made by someone is very personal. It's very nice to get one if you're so lucky. I'm thinking about making one myself from memory. My mother had made me one and I've lost totally I remember what it look like it was Warren I guess somebody took it and just use it for the dog bed I don't know it was a lot of work into it it was beautiful to me that I no longer have it I have the memory.
When when I was a young girl of 12 years my mother handed me a number 8 crochet hook. And a ball of thread told me to crochet a chain stitch showed me how to make your little circle. It was a while before I can make the little circle but that was fine. Once you learn to crochet on your own then you go to the book this way you have your imagination work so you can make your own pattern and enhance the pattern that you working on. I don't have an image to show you at this time but it's very easy if you knit already you show your child how to knit and then they need something that they like in the very beginning
Have have you gone and looking the bedroom where the baby is going to be for the blanket to be made and see what color they have in there and pick something up color and you can mix it with a wider base or eggshell something of the nature something very natural it doesn't have to be pink to be a babies blanket or a quilt or whatever you use real pale colors
It it looks like it would be very warm which I was looking for something to be very warm. I would like a little flatter than that but we'll figure that out when I get there I would like to see the pattern and see how it works out.
It's it's a beautiful piece. I use the thread crochet I have a lot of different ones in my cedar chest for the moment I'll take them out every once in a while I'll give him a good washing and then I'll use him for a while and when I get ready to put them up wash them all up real good and put them back into cedar chest.

How hard would it be to line it because I would not wear it unless it was lined especially on the heavy busted person?

I I was looking at the unusual instruments — tools of a sort. I believe they are lace making tools. They are kind of peculiar
