Measurements
Of one rectangle (middle section):
- 17 inches long
- 8-8.5 inches wide
Instructions
Pick up crochet hook size 3.0 mm and start by making a slip knot. Then make 24+2 chains (foundation chain multiple of 3 +2).
After you have the foundation chain, make sc in each chain across, turn, and start Row 1 of the granny stitch.
Row 1
Ch2, then make 1dc in the same stitch. * Skip 2 stitches, then work 3dc in the next stitch * repeat * to * across until the end of the row until you have 3 stitches remaining. Skip 2 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch, ch2, and turn.
Row 2
Now you will work 3dc in each space (between double crochet groups) across until the end of the row, then dc in the last stitch. Turn.
Repeat Row 1 and Row 2 until you get 17 inches long.
After you finish the middle section, then sc along the edge of the center part for 1 row. Start one side at a time.
Body Part of the Front Panel
After you sc for 1 row of the edge of the center part, chain 2 and turn. Dc in each stitch across until the end of the row, back and forth until you get the length for your bust size.
Repeat the same process on the other side.
After we finish the front panel, set it aside and wait for assembly.
Back Panel Measurements
Of one rectangle:
- 17-18 inches long
- 19 inches wide
Back Panel Instructions
Pick up crochet hook size 3.0 mm and start by making a slip knot. Then make 60+2 chains (foundation chain multiple of 3 +2).
The length of the foundation should nearly match the width of the front panel. Take it easy; we don’t need it to match perfectly. To be honest, I am off by 1 or 2 inches, so there's no worry if it doesn't match perfectly; the result will be beautiful.
Skip 2 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch, ch2, turn.
Row 2
Now you will work 3dc in each space (between double crochet groups) across until the end of the row, then dc in the last stitch. Turn.
Repeat Row 1 and Row 2 until you reach around 17-18 inches long.
Assembly
Now it’s time to assemble the top.
Lay the front panel on top of the back panel and use a yarn needle to sew the sides while leaving space for the armholes.
For the shoulder, sew about 3-4 inches.
