Crochet Chain Stitches and Color Patterns Tutorial

Introduction

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 7 + 4 + 4 chain stitches increase.

Row Instructions

1st Row - Color A

Skip 2 chain stitches (count as 1 double crochet), 2 double crochets into the next chain. *Skip 3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet into the next chain, 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet into each of the next 3 chains; repeat from * to the last 4 chains, skip 3 chains, and 1 single crochet into the last chain, then turn;

2nd Row - Color B

3 chain stitches (count as 1 double crochet), 2 double crochets into the first single crochet. *Skip 3 double crochets, 1 single crochet into the first of 3 chain stitches, 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet into each of the next 2 chains, 1 double crochet into the next single crochet; repeat from * ending with skip 2 double crochets and 1 single crochet into the top of the turning chain, then turn.

Color Alternation

Alternate using colors A, B, and C in each row. Repeat row 2 until you have reached your desired length.
