Special Stitches Guide for Knitting: C2L and C2R Techniques Explained

Special Stitches

C2L = slip next st onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next st from left-hand needle, then knit st from cable needle.

C2R = work as C2L but hold at back of work.

The quantity of sts is multiple of 8 + 4.

Knitting Rows Instructions

1st Row (RS): 4 purls, * 1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *;

2nd Row: 4 knit sts, * 1 purl, 2 knit sts, 1 purl, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to *;

3rd-4th Rows: as the 1st-2nd rows;

5th Row: 4 purls, * C2L, C2R, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *;

6th Row: 4 knit sts, * 4 purls, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to *.

Repeat 1st-6th rows.
