WS row: 1 selvage st, *1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 selvage st. Circle rows: 2 knit sts, 2 purls by turn.Relief Rib Pattern
The quantity of sts is a multiple of 4 + 8 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme, with only RS rows stated. Make WS rows as sts face and yarn overs as purls. In 2 yarn overs, 1st yarn over is a purl, and 2nd yarn over is a cross purl. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before the pattern repeat, continue with the pattern repeat, and finish with sts after the pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat the 1st-12th rows.
Stitches Control
23.5 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 114 (126) 138 sts and make 7 cm with rib for the lower placket, starting with 1 WS row. Continue work with relief rib. In 48 cm = 120 rows from the lower placket, bind off 1 x 5 (6) 7 sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers, then bind off 5 x 5 sts in every 2nd row (3 x 6 sts and 2 x 5 sts) for a total of 5 x 6 sts. In 53 cm = 132 rows from the lower placket, bind off the remaining 54 (58) 64 sts, with the central 44 (48) 52 sts forming the neck-hole and the outer 5 (5) 6 sts from both sides as shoulders.
Front
Make the front in the same way as the back, but in 43.5 cm = 108 rows from the lower placket, bind off the central 22 (26) 30 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For a smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 2 x 2 sts, and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Bind off the remaining 5 (5) 6 sts of the shoulder at the height of the back.
Sleeves
Cast on 46 (50) 54 sts for each sleeve and make 7 cm with rib for the placket, starting with 1 WS row and increasing 40 (44) 48 sts in the last WS row to total 86 (94) 102 sts. Continue work with relief rib. In 43.5 cm = 108 rows from the lower placket, bind off all the sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams.
For the trim, cast on 104 (108) 112 sts with circular knitting needles and work with rib in circle rows. Bind off the sts at 7 cm width for the trim. Sew up the sleeves and complete side and sleeve seams.
