Quantity of Stitches

The quantity of stitches (sts) is a multiple of 4 + 2. Make stitches according to the pattern, with yarn overs treated as purls. A double yarn over will be treated as follows: the first yarn over as a purl and the second yarn over as a knit stitch.

Row Instructions

1st Row

1 purl, *2 knit stitches, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, ending with 1 purl;

3rd Row

1 purl, *cross 2 knit stitches to the left, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, ending with 1 purl;

5th Row

1 knit stitch, *2 yarn overs, 1 broaching, knit 2 together to the left*; repeat from * to *, ending with 1 knit stitch;

7th Row

1 knit stitch, *2 purls, cross 2 stitches to the left*; repeat from * to *, ending with 1 knit stitch;

9th Row

1 knit stitch, *1 broaching, knit 2 together to the left, 2 yarn overs*; repeat from * to *, ending with 1 knit stitch.

Repeating Rows

Make the 1st through 10th rows once, then repeat the 3rd through 10th rows.
