Knitting Instructions

Women’s size is in parenthesis.

With the white yarn, cast on sts 36 (44). Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 6 (8) rows.

Switch to red yarn and knit in the round for 6 (8) rounds.

Switch to the white yarn and knit for 3 (4) rows.

Switch back to red yarn and knit for another 5 (7) rows.

Shaping the Hat

For both sizes, knit 2 together across the round, switching to double point needles.

Switch to white yarn and knit for 3 (4) rows.

Switch back to red yarn and knit for another 5 (7) rows.

For both sizes, knit 2 together across the round.

Finishing Touches

Switch to white yarn and knit 6 (8) rows. Break yarn, pull through remaining sts and pull to tighten. Make and attach a pom pom.
