Knitting Patterns: ROW INSTRUCTIONS AND TECHNIQUES

Introduction

The quantity of stitches is multiple 4 + 2. Make even rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls, double yarn over – 1 yarn over as purl, the 2^nd yarn over as knit stitch. Make 1^st - 10^th rows once, then repeat 3^rd - 10^th rows.

Row Instructions

1^st Row

1 purl, * 2 knit stitches, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

3^rd Row

1 purl, * cross 2 stitches to the left (leave 1 stitch on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 1 knit stitch, 1 knit stitch from the auxiliary needle), 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

5^th Row

1 knit stitch, * 2 yarn overs, 1 broaching, knit two together to the left*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit stitch;

7^th Row

1 knit stitch, * 2 purls, cross 2 stitches to the left*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit stitch;

9^th Row

1 knit stitch, 1 broaching, knit two together to the left, 2 yarn overs; repeat from * to *, 1 knit stitch.
