Knitting a Stylish Sweater with Anny Blatt Fine Kid Yarn



You’ll Need:
4, 4, 5, 5 skeins of Anny Blatt Fine Kid yarn (51% wool, 49% kid mohair; 255m/50g) in coral (632) and light-pink (735) colors.
Knitting needles size 5.
Auxiliary needle.
Size:
S (P1), M (P2), L (P3), XL (P4).
Used Patterns
- 3 x 3 rib;
- Fancy pattern: due to the scheme, on which only odd rows are stated, make even rows due to the ornament. 1 knit st, crossed to the right on 6 knit sts: transfer 6 sts to the auxiliary needle behind work, 1 knit st, 6 knit sts from the auxiliary needle.
Note:
Work in 2 threads of yarn – coral + light-pink.
Stitches Control:
Fancy pattern: 19 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 83, 91, 99, 111 sts and work with 3 x 3 rib, starting with 1 purl instead of 3 for P1, 2 purls instead of 3 for P2, 3 purls for P3 and P4. At 14 cm height, work with fancy pattern, starting with 1, 1, 1, 3 purls and the 1st st of the scheme and finishing with the last st of the scheme and 1, 1, 1, 3 purls. At 35 cm height, make arm-holes, decreasing the sts in the following way:
- For P1: 1 x 4 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st;
- For P2: 1 x 4 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st;
- For P3: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st;
- For P4: 2 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st.
There are 65, 69, 73, 79 sts left. At 54, 55, 56, 57 cm height, form shoulder chamfer, decreasing 1 x 6 sts and 2 x 5 sts in every 2nd row for P1, 3 x 6 sts for P2, 2 x 7 sts for P3, 2 x 8 sts and 1 x 7 sts for P4. At the same time, bind off the central 17 sts for the neck-hole, then decrease 1 x 8 sts in every 2nd row from inwards.
Front
Make in the same way as back, except neck-hole. At 48, 49, 50, 51 cm height, bind off the central 15 sts and then decrease 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. At 54, 55, 56, 57 cm height, form shoulder chamfer in the same way as for back.
Sleeves
Cast on 57, 57, 59, 59 sts and work with 3 x 3 rib, starting with 3 purls, 3 purls, 1 knit st, and 1 knit st. At 14 cm height, work with fancy pattern, starting with 1, 1, 2, 2 purls and the 1st st due to the scheme and finishing with the last st due to the scheme and 1, 1, 2, 2 purls.
Note:
Make 6 decreases in the 1st row of the fancy pattern. There are 51, 51, 53, 53 sts left.
At the same time, increase from both sides 7 x 1 st in every 8th row for P1, 1 x 1 st in every 8th row, and 8 x 1 st in every 6th row for P2, 9 x 1 st in every 6th row and 1 x 1 st in every 8th row for P3, and 5 x 1 st in every 6th row, 7 x 1 st in every 4th row. You should get 65, 69, 73, 77 sts. At 44 cm height, form sleeve cap, decreasing the sts in every 2nd row from both sides in the following way:
- For P1: 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 8 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts;
- For P2: 1 x 3 sts, 5 x 2 sts, 6 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts;
- For P3: 1 x 3 sts, 7 x 2 sts, 4 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts;
- For P4: 1 x 3 sts, 9 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts.
Bind off the rest 13 sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder, sleeve and side seams. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. For the collar, cast on 50 sts and work with 3 x 3 rib, starting with 1 knit st instead of 3 knit sts. At 58 cm height, bind off the sts and sew the collar to the neck-hole.
