Complete Guide to Crocheting with Turquoise Cotton Yarn: Patterns and Instructions

You’ll Need:

250g of turquoise 100% cotton yarn (110m/50g);

Crochet hook 4.5.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns:

Main Pattern:

double crochets. Start every row with 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet and finish with 1 double crochet in the last chain stitch increase of the previous row.

Pineapple Pattern:

the quantity of stitches is multiple of 23 + 13. Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat. Make the 1st-20th rows once, then repeat the 3rd-20th rows, finishing with the 21st row.

Stitches Control:

  • Main pattern: 19.5 stitches x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
  • Pineapple pattern: 19.5 stitches x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Notes:

For the front and back, make trimming from up to down at first, then fasten it with the main pattern. Make sleeves from up to down.

Instructions:

Back:

Make 82 (105) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase for trimming and work with the pineapple pattern. In 26 cm = 21 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Fasten the set-up row with the main pattern, making 82 (105) double crochets in the 1st row. Decrease 10 (13) stitches in the 2nd row (by means of making 2 double crochets together) = 72 (92) stitches. In 12 cm = 13 rows from the beginning of fastening, decrease 1 stitch from both sides for raglan chamfer and 11 (13) x 1 stitch in every row = 48 (64) stitches. Make 2 double crochets together in the next row and finish your work on the remaining 24 (32) stitches in 12 cm = 13 rows (13.5 cm = 15 rows) from the beginning of raglan.

Front:

Make in the same way as the back.

Sleeves:

Make 59 (82) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase and work with the pineapple pattern. In 49 cm = 39 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly:

Fasten the set-up rows (= upper edges) of sleeves in the following manner: join the yarn by means of 1 slip stitch, 1 chain stitch, * 1 single crochet, 2 chain stitches*; repeat from * to *, finishing with 1 single crochet. Make side seams. Make sleeve seams, leaving the upper 17 (19) cm open. Make raglan seams, and sew up the sleeves.

Fasten the neck-hole line, starting from the right back raglan seam with circle rows in the following manner:

1st circle row: join the yarn, 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet, 1 double crochet in the same base stitch, 2 chain stitches and 2 double crochets in 1 base stitch, * skip 4 base stitches by means of 3 chain stitches, 1 shell (= 2 double crochets, 2 chain stitches, 2 double crochets in 1 base stitch)*, make 2 double crochets, 1 chain stitch and 2 double crochets in the center of every shell, 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain stitch of the previous row*; repeat from * to *, finishing with 1 slip stitch in the chain stitch increase.
